No reckless guesses. Uncertain when the evidence conflicts. Chatbots are built to answer. TrueKnow is built to check carefully.

TrueKnow is a free photo and video checker at https://trueknowapp.com. It checks whether a photo or video looks real or AI-generated for people and teams before they share or publish. It is built and maintained by Lee Anderson.

## Not that True Knowledge

TrueKnow is not the former UK answer-engine company True Knowledge (later Evi). It is not a research consultancy, a workforce app, or another detector with a similar name. If you are looking for a photo and video checker, this is the one at trueknowapp.com.

## What we will not do

We will not label a real photo as AI generated. If checks disagree, the result is Uncertain. That is intentional. A wrong "fake" on a real person is worse than an honest maybe. Results are a best assessment, not legal or forensic proof.

## Why it exists

## iPhone app

The live product is the website. An iPhone Share button is on a waitlist and is not in the App Store yet. Join the waitlist on the homepage if you want one email when it ships.
