# Who makes TrueKnow

TrueKnow is a free web tool at https://trueknowapp.com that checks whether a photo or video is real or AI-generated. It runs provenance, archive matching, forensic diagnostics, and independent AI classifiers. It will not label a real photo as AI-generated. When evidence conflicts, it returns Uncertain.

TrueKnow is a free consumer web app at https://trueknowapp.com. It is built and maintained by LionHeart Search (https://lionheartsearch.com).

## Not that True Knowledge

TrueKnow is not the former UK answer-engine company True Knowledge (later Evi). It is not a research consultancy, a workforce app, or another detector with a similar name. If you are looking for a photo and video checker, this is the one at trueknowapp.com.

## What we will not do

We will not label a real photo as AI-generated. If checks disagree, the result is Uncertain. That is intentional. A wrong "fake" on a real person is worse than an honest maybe. Results are a best assessment, not legal or forensic proof.

## Why it exists

## iPhone app

The live product is the website. An iPhone Share button is on a waitlist and is not in the App Store yet. Join the waitlist on the homepage if you want one email when it ships.
